Changes to these terms and conditions may be made at DART's discretion, and it is the responsibility of the site user or customer to check the terms and conditions before using the site or placing an order. The terms and conditions applying to each use of the site or order placed are those accepted at the time that the site is used or order is placed.

DART will do its utmost to ensure that availability of the website will be uninterrupted and that transmissions will be error-free. However, this cannot be guaranteed. Access to the website may be occasionally suspended or restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance, or the introduction of new facilities or services. DART will attempt to limit the frequency and duration of any such suspension or restriction. DART reserves the right to refuse access to the website, terminate accounts, and remove or edit website content at its own discretion.

Accounts: When establishing an account on DARTmarkets.com, the details provided should be correct and complete, and DART should be informed of any changes to these details immediately. Account holders accept responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality of their account and password, as well as all activities that occur under this account or password. All necessary steps should be taken to ensure that the password is kept confidential and secure, and DART should be informed immediately if there is any reason to believe that the password has become known to anyone else, or if the password is being, or is likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

Terms and conditions of sale

Payment terms: By submitting an order for a product or service on DARTmarkets.com, the customer agrees without limitation or qualification to complete the transaction. The customer expressly acknowledges and agrees that DART can withhold the product or service as a result of non-payment within the agreed credit terms of 30 days. Payments may be made by credit or debit card, by cheque or by wire transfer. Customer is responsible for all bank charges relating to the wire transfer. If the dispatch of an order cannot be fulfilled or is delayed, the customer will be notified. DART reserves the right to cancel any order at its own discretion, and a refund will be supplied to the customer in this instance. To qualify for report discounts payment must be made within 30 days of invoice date. An admin charge of up to £50 may be applied to any amendment of invoice such as date or address change. All our prices are exclusive of VAT and default currency for invoicing is GBP.

Late Payment: DART relies on the Late Payment Act and reserves the right to claim all reasonable out of pocket expenses from a debtor if third parties are used for debt collection purposes.

Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund and Cancellation Policy: The descriptions of the products and services sold on DARTmarkets.com are as complete and accurate as possible, and customers are encouraged to read all available information about a product before placing an order. Due to the nature of the information being sold, orders for reports cannot be cancelled.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, neither DART nor any of its directors, employees, affiliates or other representatives will be liable for loss or damages arising out of or in connection with use of, or inability to use, the Products, Materials, Software and/or facilities or services offered by DART, including, but not limited to, indirect or consequential loss or damages, loss of data, income, profit or opportunity, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties, even if DART has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damages, or such loss or damages were reasonably foreseeable.

Report Licenses: By submitting an order for a product or service on DARTmarkets.com, the customer agrees and represents that they are buying for their own internal use only, and not for resale or export. Once you have opened a DART report, due to the nature of the product, you would you have an irreversible contractual obligation to pay. Use of any report ordered on DARTmarkets.com is also bound by the license type:

Single User License: This license allows for use of a report by one named person, explicitly confirmed at point of sale. This person may use the report but may not share the report (or any information contained therein) with any other person or persons. Unless a Departmental License, a Site License or a Global Site License is purchased, a Single User License must be purchased for every person that wishes to use the report within the same enterprise. The license is valid for 12 months from the date the report is sent. Customers who infringe these license terms are liable for damages which may easily exceed £15,000. You may not print a single user licence, should you wish to print a copy of the report, you would need to upgrade to a departmental licence or above.

Departmental Licenses: This license allows for use of a report by six people within the same enterprise location. You may print a copy of the report under each user. Each of these people may use the report but may not share the report (or any information contained therein) with any other person or persons. DART provides a service whereby we print, bind and ship a hard copy report for you, in full colour. But this service is only available for clients who purchase a departmental licence or above. The license is valid for 12 months from the date the report is sent. Customers who infringe these license terms are liable for damages which may easily exceed £15,000.

Site License: This license allows for use of a report by an unlimited number of people within the same enterprise location. Each of these people may use the report on any computer, and may print out the report, but may not share the report (or any information contained therein) with any person or persons outside of the enterprise location. There is no time limit access to the report. Customers who infringe these license terms are liable for damages which may easily exceed £15,000.

Global License: This license allows for use of a report by an unlimited number of people within the same enterprise worldwide. Each of these people may use the report on any computer, and may print out the report, but may not share the report (or any information contained therein) with any other person or persons outside of the enterprise. Datasets refers to the Excel spread sheets that we have formulated and which details the global, regional/national and submarket data as shown within our reports. There is no time limit access to the report. Customers who infringe these license terms are liable for damages which may easily exceed £15,000.

Company, Subsidiary & Consultants License: This license allows for use of a report by an unlimited number of people within the same enterprise worldwide. Each of these people may use the report on any computer, and may print out the report, they may also share the report (or any information contained therein) with any other person or persons inside the enterprise and its subsidiaries or parent company. This is the only license also that allows the company to share the information with external consultants. Datasets refers to the Excel spreadsheet that we have formulated and which details the global, regional/national and submarket data as shown within our reports. Taxport: Recovering Your VAT

Who qualifies to recover UK VAT?
Individuals (i.e. students) cannot recover VAT as they are not registered as corporate taxpayers in their own country.
EU-based Corporations can recover all the VAT paid out in the UK.

Which VAT can I request a refund on?
Each country has its own rules regarding reclaimable expenses.

Typical refundable expenses include: Conferences, Trade Fairs, Events and Exhibitions, Accommodation, Transportation costs including car rental and fuel costs. Meals and business entertainment

EU-based Universities / Research Centres: If we can establish that your University has a business purpose other than promoting knowledge and furthering education, then you can submit an application for VAT refund. Your accounting department would know if they fall within this category.

Non EU-based Corporations can in general recover VAT paid in the UK.

Minimum applications (EU)
£295 where the application covers less than a calendar year but not less than three calendar months, and • £35 where the application covers a calendar year or the remainder of a calendar year.

What are the deadlines?
EU companies claiming in the EU: the deadline for submitting invoices for a calendar year is September 30th of the following calendar year. For example: Invoices received in 2012 must be submitted for reclaim by 30th September 2013.

Non-EU Companies: the deadline for submitting applications to the UK for refund is 6 months after the "prescribed period". The prescribed period runs from July to June. For example: Invoices received in July 2011 to June 2012 must be submitted for reclaim 31st December 2012

How long do I have to wait for a refund?
Upon request, applications can be submitted on behalf of your Corporation by our services and the expected turnaround time is 6 to 8 months.
